Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Asphalt Rakeman to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with asphalt paving operations, ensuring smooth workflow, and maintaining safety standards on-site. Duties
- Operate and assist with heavy equipment used in asphalt paving, including rollers and graders
- Spread and level asphalt material according to project specifications
- Assist with preparation of the worksite, including setting up barriers and safety signage
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion
- Maintain safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
- Perform routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs
- Support other construction activities as needed, including site cleanup and material handling
Qualifications
- Prior experience in paving or construction is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and effectively
- Knowledge of paving techniques and construction processes is a plus
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license are preferred but not required
- Commitment to safety standards and quality workmanship
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
