As the Store Manager, you will be a key leader, ensuring our restaurant operates smoothly and efficiently while upholding Kyoto Katsugyu’s high standards in food quality, cleanliness, and customer experience.

Responsibilities:
- Daily Operations: Oversee daily store operations to ensure smooth, efficient functioning of all aspects of the restaurant.
- Quality Control: Monitor food quality and service to ensure they meet Kyoto Katsugyu’s standards.
- Customer Feedback: Regularly check and assess customer reviews and feedback, and share insights with team members. Provide training to address any areas for improvement.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Conduct daily cleanliness checks to ensure the restaurant meets Toronto Public Health standards.
- Menu Management: Coordinate with Japanese Beef supplier on any seasonal menu changes and provide timely reports.
- Staff Management:
- Create and manage employee schedules.
- Post job openings, hire new staff, conduct interviews, and coordinate training.
- Ensure daily accuracy of staff hours, payroll, and tip records.
- Inventory and Ordering: Oversee inventory levels, order necessary ingredients, and adjust orders as needed to control costs and maintain efficiency.
- Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect equipment and, when needed, contact repair companies to maintain a functional workspace.
- Financial Oversight:
- Communicate with the accountant about daily sales, labour costs, goods costs, and profit margins.
- Make adjustments to staff schedules and order quantities to optimize costs.
- Upload daily sales reports to Dropbox for review by the Japanese Beef supplier.
Skills and Requirements
- Certification Requirements: Must hold valid Smart Serve and Food Handler certifications.
- Language Skills: Japanese language skills are preferred to facilitate communication with Japanese-speaking staff and suppliers.
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience managing a team in the food service industry.
- Strong Organizational Skills: Excellent attention to detail with an ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Customer Service Focused: Dedicated to ensuring an outstanding customer experience.
- Proficiency in Technology: Comfortable using platforms like Dropbox for reporting and other business software as needed.
