Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases, questions, and product inquiries
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for cash handling and credit transactions
- Conduct product demos and upsell items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing products on shelves and displays effectively
- Provide information about store promotions, loyalty programs, and new products in multiple languages if applicable
- Manage time efficiently during busy periods to ensure smooth checkout processes
- Uphold excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Ensure accurate cash handling by counting cash, processing returns, and balancing registers at shift end
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customers
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately
- Familiarity with POS systems or retail technology is advantageous
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform basic merchandising tasks and product demonstrations confidently
- Experience in upselling or suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
