Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Class 1 Owner Operator to join our dynamic transportation team. In this vital role, you will leverage your expertise in commercial driving and heavy equipment operation to deliver freight efficiently and safely across designated routes. As an independent owner operator, you will manage your own vehicle while ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining compliance with safety standards, and providing exceptional service to our clients. This position offers the opportunity to operate a variety of heavy-duty vehicles, including those requiring forklift and automotive repair skills, all while enjoying the independence of managing your own business.

Duties
- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport freight across regional or national routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic automotive repairs to maintain optimal performance and safety standards
- Coordinate with dispatch for route planning, delivery schedules, and documentation requirements
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, freight details, and maintenance activities in compliance with regulatory guidelines
- Communicate effectively with clients, warehouse personnel, and team members to ensure smooth operations
- Perform safety checks before each trip and report any mechanical issues or incidents promptly
- Carry out logistical functions and work in accordance with transportation regulations.
- Communicate with vehicle operators and dispatchers when out of the vehicle.
- Offer product support, including technical support and instruction, to customers and end-users, in accordance with customer requirements or expectations.
- Be able to legally enter the United States (only for long haul)
- Knowledge of E-Log books operations
- Drug Test and Criminal check
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and freight handling
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently in loading/unloading scenarios
- Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards for heavy-duty transportation
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and record keeping
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage time effectively as an independent owner operator
