MPS Group, Inc., a leading provider of industrial cleaning and waste management services, is seeking a Total Booth Management Technician based in Oakville, ON. This individual is responsible for ensuring all paint spray-booth related processes are operating at peak performance, including: detackification water quality and pumping systems, downdraft spray-booth air balance, HVAC systems performance, compressed air dryers, booth air filtration and environment compliance, are all within engineering limits as set-out in the operating control plan.
Shift Details:
Shift: 2nd or 3rd Shift
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. / 10:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.
Responsibilities and Job duties:
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize paint booth air and water treatment systems, including detackification programs, chemical treatment processes, sludge management operations and environmental compliance.
- Perform analytical testing, process control monitoring, and data collection for paint booth water chemistry, air quality, and overall process performance.
- Document results to support operational oversight and regulatory compliance.
- Inspect and verify paint booth operating conditions, including airflow, air balance, temperature, humidity, static pressure, filtration performance, equipment health, HVAC systems and compressed air dryers, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and operating control plans.
- Troubleshoot process equipment, air quality, and water chemistry issues in collaboration with maintenance, production, and supplier teams, implementing corrective actions to support first-time-through quality objectives.
- Compile, review, and analyze operational and analytical data, identify performance trends, and prepare weekly reports summarizing key air, water, environmental, and process metrics for management review and customer presentations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on paint quality, environmental performance, energy reduction, waste minimization, cost savings, and overall system reliability.
- Ensure all paint booth systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with customer requirements, environmental standards, and company policies.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year industry related experience.
- Strong work ethic with a record of dependable and self-motivated work experience.
- Ability to work shifts including weekends and nights.
- Perform work in a logical, orderly, and skillful manner.
- Use tools and equipment correctly, efficiently, and accurately related to air handling systems and paint water chemistry technology.
- Auto Assembly Paint Shop or Tier 2 Manufacturing Paint background an asset.
- Ability to climb stairs, work in hot and humid environments, lift materials up to 25kg, work longer shifts and weekends when required.
