Part Time Client Care Specialist
This position works onsite at Gus's Pet Resort | Part time, up to 25 hours/week
Do you love dogs and excel at customer service? Join Gus's Pet Resort team as a Client Care Specialist and work as part of the front desk team to ensure that the people and pets who visit us have an outstanding end-to-end experience.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a main point of contact at the front desk.
- Greet clients and their pets.
- Use our in-house computer system to manage check-ins and check-outs.
- Rebook appointments and services.
- Meet sales targets by following scripts to upsell new and additional services.
- Offer pet care solutions that make our clients lives easier by listening to their needs and understanding their pet.
- Work effectively as part of a team, taking direction when needed and stepping in to help out during busy times to get everyone checked in or out as smoothly as possible.
- Address client questions and concerns in a professional and timely manner in accordance with GPR protocols and guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with team members on the Reservation, Grooming, and Pet Care Teams to uphold the highest quality of care.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Previous experience in marketing, retail sales and/or customer experience are assets.
- Ability to build and foster positive relationships with clients and staff.
- Takes a friendly and professional approach to customer care.
- Effective communication skills through active listening and attentiveness to details.
- Confidently able to learn and use email and CRM (customer relationship management) software.
- A demonstrated understanding of sales processes and ability to follow sales scripts that describe our services and care.
- High level knowledge of dog breeds, behaviour basics, and grooming services.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient user of the Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Willing and excited to learn how to use new software platforms, tools, and digital interfaces.

Good To Know
- This is a part-time position (0 - 25 hours/week) and that works onsite at Gus's Pet Resort in Okotoks, AB
- The successful candidate must be physically able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Scheduled work will take place during our hours of operation between 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM, Monday through Saturday.
- The hourly rate of pay starts at $15.00/hour with the potential to increase to $16.50/hour.
