Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Exterior Renovations Worker to join our construction team. This role involves performing a variety of exterior building improvement tasks, including repairs, installations, and finishing work. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction and carpentry, with a focus on exterior projects. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse renovation projects, contributing to the enhancement and maintenance of residential and commercial properties.
Responsibilities
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform exterior renovation tasks such as siding, roofing, soffit and fascia, metal work, and rough carpentry.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials, equipment, and supplies required for renovation projects
- Apply caulking and sealing techniques to ensure weatherproofing and energy efficiency
- Read and follow construction plans and specifications accurately
- Assist with carpentry tasks including framing, trimming, and finishing work
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and proper tool handling
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to high standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction, carpentry, or handyman work with a focus on exterior renovations
- Proficiency in using hand tools and basic power tools safely and effectively
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to job sites; valid driver’s license is a plus
- A proactive attitude with excellent teamwork skills
Office is located in Plantagenet, Ontario. However, most work will be completed in Ottawa and surrounding areas.
Pay: $21.00-$32.00 per hour
