We are seeking a Additive Manufacturing/3D Printing Field Support Engineer (AM – FSE) in Ontario who will be responsible for performing a full range of 3D Printer part setup, servicing, and repair service procedures including diagnostics, installation, removal, and retrofits on assigned equipment.
Overview: The AM-FSEs position is responsible for exceeding customer satisfaction while performing pre-sales, install, and support activities.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Generating part validation analysis, ROI presentation, creates benchmarks, and supports internal sales team in pre-sales application support
Installation and training of 3D Printing software and hardware at customer’s facility to ensure full functionality according to OMEs specifications
Work closely with the support team and the VP of Advanced Manufacturing to ensure local install base is maintained to company standards
Providing on-site and remote technical assistance to help troubleshoot and repair equipment
Performing preventive maintenance procedures within the scheduled time at customer site
Operating AM equipment at customer site and at CAD Micro’s office
Completes and submits all service documentation accurately
Cooperates in projects such as training, documentation, webinars, blogs, open houses, and exhibition
Perform all duties that pertain to being a Field Technician/Engineer but may not be listed above
Communicate and maintain service records and field service reports in CRM and in Partner’s Portals
Some travel to support training and field service/technical support work for customers
Ideal Candidate:

Certified technician, technologist, or engineer in mechanical/electrical engineering technology

Two to three years of experience in servicing industrial equipment

Capable of data preparation for additive manufacturing using 3D Slicers, Magics and SolidWorks.

Demonstrated product knowledge on industrial 3d printers is a plus

Skilled in using written, oral, schematic and diagram engineering instructions

Ability to prioritization and juggle multiple tasks at once

Computer knowledge (PC-configuration, MS- Windows, Network knowledge, MSOffice,)

Ability to work independently and cope with pressure

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Performs basic installations, sets up IP addresses, downloads printer drivers and provides customer training on printing standalone and network devices
Performs troubleshooting and repairs or replaces equipment components as necessary
Demonstrates required digital competencies associated with assigned products and level assignment
Completes technical training on new equipment as assigned
Provide support to field technicians who are diagnosing problems with and repairing office hardware
Troubleshoot problems and recommend solutions using technical expertise.
Determines and recommends which products or services best fit the customers’ needs
Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems & hardware
Maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems
Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and privacy
Document all activity for future referencing
