JOB TYPE: Full-time, Permanent
LOCATION: Kamloops
SALARY RANGE: $43.20-$52.40
THE ROLE:
Assist in the service, repair, and troubleshooting of equipment.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform necessary services, repairs and diagnose equipment breakdowns as required
- Maintain maintenance procedures for all heavy-duty construction equipment, small tools and other related equipment, including fleet of: off road haul trucks, excavators, crawlers, roller packers, dozers
- Manage and maintain maintenance documentation as it relates to status of equipment, fleet and tools
- Establish and implement repair procedures on large and difficult projects
- Provide estimated budget needed for shop supplies and equipment as well as monitor spending to align with budget
- Recommend potential procurement requirements or opportunities
- Work effectively with multiple suppliers and field personnel and coordinate projects with in house welders
- Perform regular quality control checks
- Perform daily duties in a safe and efficient manner in our fast-paced environment
- Other duties as required
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- Experience working on construction equipment, ie: dozer, loader, excavator
- Class 3 drivers license an asset
- Motivated; self starter
- Possess a strong work ethic, and a commitment to excellence
- Exceptional trouble shooting and problem-solving skills with the help of deductive reasoning in diagnosing equipment issues
- Good interpersonal skills, including tact and diplomacy while working with a variety of individuals
- Possession of Red Seal Certification is preferred.
