We seek a full-time Licensed Journeyman Light Duty Mechanic to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently diagnose and repair customer concerns
- Perform multi-point inspections to advise of repairs, ensuring vehicle safety and reliability.
- Chassis diagnosis and repair
- Electrical diagnosis and repair
- Responsibly road test pre- and post-vehicle repair
- Perform wheel alignments.
- Light duty and PMVI safeties up to 8900 kgs.
- Tire repairs and changeovers
- Perform repairs on shop equipment and service truck.
- Provide leadership to apprentices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment daily.
- Other duties as assigned by the service manager.
Requirements
- You hold a provincially recognized trade ticket LEVEL 3 OR RED SEAL. Have experience in front-end brakes, shocks, and wheel alignments.
- You can excel in a physically demanding environment that includes heavy lifting and moving constantly throughout your shift.
- You can confidently inspect, diagnose, adjust, service and repair various vehicles.
- Assist in identifying potential mechanical sales with team members.
- You have a strong passion for people and understand the true value of good customer service.
- You are methodical and patient in your approach; you have a keen eye for detail.
