Project Manager – Façade Systems

About TRE Designs
TRE Designs specializes in the procurement, supply, and installation of exterior façade systems for high-rise residential and mixed-use developments throughout British Columbia. We are seeking an experienced Façade Project Manager to lead projects from preconstruction through procurement, installation, and project closeout.
The successful candidate will work closely with our procurement, engineering, warehouse, and site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience in exterior façade or building envelope construction.
- Experience managing high-rise residential or commercial projects.
- Strong understanding of façade systems, construction sequencing, procurement, and installation.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Scope of Work
The Project Manager will be responsible for the complete management of façade projects, including:
Project Planning & Procurement
- Develop and maintain the overall project schedule.
- Prepare and manage procurement plans.
- Coordinate material release schedules with the procurement team.
- Monitor manufacturing, shipping, delivery, and installation schedules.
Contract Administration
- Prepare installation contracts and scopes of work.
- Review installation sequences and construction details.
- Coordinate subcontractors and installation crews.
- Prepare and manage Schedule of Values (SOV).
- Review progress invoices and payment applications.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate Change Orders.
Technical Coordination
- Review and distribute RFIs, Site Instructions (SI), Supplemental Instructions, and consultant responses to the appropriate departments.
- Develop shop drawing schedules and coordinate reviews.
- Review shop drawings for constructability and installation sequencing.
- Coordinate communication between site, engineering, drafting, procurement, and installation teams.
Site Management
- Attend regular site visits and construction meetings.
- Coordinate with owners, consultants, general contractors, and other trades.
- Resolve site coordination issues and installation conflicts.
- Monitor project progress, quality, safety, and schedule compliance.
Project Controls
- Utilize the company's Construction ERP system to manage project information.
- Maintain project documentation, reports, budgets, schedules, and cost tracking.
- Prepare regular project status reports for the Director.
Preconstruction
- Review tender and estimation packages.
- Participate in preconstruction planning.
- Recommend Value Engineering (VE) opportunities to improve constructability, cost, and schedule.
Research & Development (Asset)
- Participate in the evaluation and development of new façade systems, materials, and installation methods.
- Support product research, mock-ups, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Product Experience
Experience managing one or more of the following systems is required:
- Window Wall
- Curtain Wall
- Cladding Systems
- Canopy Glazing
- Glass & Aluminum Systems
- Architectural Railings
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the Director of Operations.
