Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. This role involves working with various materials and tools to construct frameworks for buildings, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to design specifications. The Framer will also be responsible for heavy lifting and operating heavy equipment as needed.
Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications
- Construct wooden frameworks for buildings, including walls, roofs, and floors
- Perform concrete forming and finishing tasks as required
- Install siding and other exterior finishes
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Operate heavy equipment when necessary for construction tasks
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to quality standards
- Conduct restoration work as needed on existing structures
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry, construction, or a related field
- Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding of schematics
- Familiarity with concrete forming, finishing, and restoration techniques
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to framing work
- Capability of performing heavy lifting as required by the job duties
- Basic welding skills are a plus but not required
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
