Position: LPN (Part-time 0.2-0.4 EFT)

Within a multi-disciplinary team, the RN/LPN provides clinical support to healthcare providers by performing a variety of client related activities, i.e. Allergy Testing, Client Education (mainly related to allergies and asthma), preparing and maintaining testing materials, running and maintaining daily allergy desensitization clinics, and maintaining an orderly work environment.
Qualifications and Skills
· Current registration with CRNM or CLPNM - required
· Current CPR certification - required
· Demonstrates well developed critical thinking skills. Excellent organizational, time management and interpersonal skills. - required
· Basic computer knowledge – required
· Ability to communicate effectively with the general public and other members of the Winnipeg Clinic
· Be courteous, tactful, and co-operative with clients and co-workers
· Demonstrates ability to work with minimal supervision
Primary Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
· Works within the Winnipeg Clinic’s philosophy, policies, and guidelines
· Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare all vitals (i.e. height/weight, blood pressure, spirometry) and relay all pertinent information to the physician
· Explain all procedures to clients
· Administer medications as required
· Performs client teaching on a variety of topics including, but not limited to, allergies, asthma, epinephrine injectables, inhalers, and nose sprays
· Books appointments, fills in required requisitions for bloodwork & out of clinic tests in EMR
· Performs Mantoux testing, gives vaccinations, and provides desensitization therapy as required
· Other duties as assigned

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
