Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Flat Roofing Foreman to lead and oversee roofing projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of roofing construction, and proficiency with construction management tools. This role is vital in ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Flat Roofing Foreman will coordinate teams, manage resources, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
Duties
- Supervise daily roofing operations on flat roofing projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project timelines
- Coordinate and direct roofing crews, assigning tasks efficiently to optimize productivity
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to ensure accurate project execution
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, and Primavera P6 for project planning, tracking, and documentation
- Oversee quality control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship and compliance with specifications
- Manage project budgets by monitoring costs and resource allocation; assist with construction estimating when needed
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions promptly
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth project flow
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies
Skills
- Proven supervising experience in roofing or general construction projects
- Strong knowledge of flat roofing systems, schematics, blueprints, and construction estimating
- Proficiency with construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and other relevant tools
- Excellent understanding of quality control processes within construction projects
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately
- Effective budgeting skills for managing project costs and resources
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to supervise teams effectively
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members, clients, and stakeholders
