The successful candidates will have well-developed organization, assessment and time management skills as well as excellent written documentation and verbal communication skills. Other skills will include conflict resolution, crisis management, suicide intervention, decision making, mediation, problem solving and computer skills.

As a Case Aide you will be provided with the opportunity to learn about our organization, develop workplace skills and gain career-related experience by assisting our Caseworkers. Under the direction of a Casework Supervisor you will become involved in a broad range of experience with Children Services cases. While you will not assume a full caseload, your responsibilities will include providing driver and visit supervision services to open files and could include, but not limited to, screening, assisting in assessments, case plan development, family support, case management, report writing and court presentations. Supporting family time and assisting with client travel needs will also be expected.

Qualifications
Bachelor of Social Work with some related experience. Related experience providing assistance and services to children, youth and families is preferred. Previous experience with Child Intervention Services will be considered an asset. Experience working with Microsoft applications will be considered an asset. Candidates with lesser qualifications may be considered at a lower classification level and salary.

Equivalencies of related university degree in social sciences and 1 year of related experience, or a related diploma with 2 years related experience may be considered.

Salary
$2,233.28 - $2,878.37 Bi-Weekly

Notes
Hours of work 36.25 weekly.

Successful applicants who possess a MSW, BSW or Diploma in Social Work are required to register with and maintain registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers.

The successful candidate will be required to have a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable vehicle that meets the requirements of the Region as travel will be required.

Final candidates will be required to undergo a security screening, academic check and intervention record check. Due to wait times to receive a completed Criminal Records Check (CRC) that includes Vulnerable Sector screening check, applicants that are invited for an interview are encouraged to request a completed CRC (level 1) that includes Vulnerable Sector screening check from their local RCMP/Police detachment prior to their interview. The CRC will only need to be provided upon request
