Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our vibrant dance studio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance and teaching, with the ability to inspire students of all ages and skill levels. This role offers an exciting opportunity to share your love of dance while helping students develop their skills, confidence, and appreciation for the art form. The Dance Instructor will be responsible for designing engaging lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and promoting a love of movement through various dance styles.
Duties
- Develop and deliver comprehensive dance lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels
- Demonstrate proper technique and form while ensuring student safety
- Create a motivating and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and growth
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support improvement
- Prepare students for performances, competitions, or recitals as needed
- Collaborate with studio staff on scheduling, events, and studio promotions
- Maintain a clean and organized teaching space conducive to learning
- Stay current with dance trends, techniques, and industry best practices to enhance instruction quality
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching dance across various styles (ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, etc.) is preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage students
- Passion for dance and education, with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse student needs
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to creating a positive learning environment
- Prior experience in instructing children or adults is a plus
- Certification or formal training in dance or education is advantageous but not mandatory
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
