About the role:
Coordinate, prioritize, and execute survey requests to support operational and stakeholder requirements across the mine site.
Lead, train, and supervise survey team members while fostering a safe and productive work environment.
Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures for recurring survey activities.
Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and availability of survey equipment and supplies to ensure operational readiness.
Evaluate survey processes, software, and equipment, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Process, validate, and analyze survey data; perform calculations and generate accurate reports to support decision-making and month-end reporting.
Develop and maintain survey databases, including imagery, surfaces, point data, as-builts, buried infrastructure, areas, and volume calculations.
Perform field surveying activities while promoting safe work practices and completing required risk assessments and hazard documentation.
Qualifications
Key Skills & Knowledge:
Relevant Experience & Qualifications:
Technical Diploma in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related discipline, with strong knowledge of surveying principles and practices.
Minimum 5 years of experience in mining operations or heavy civil construction environments.
Proven leadership experience with at least 3 years supervising and coordinating survey crews.
Hands-on experience conducting drone surveys and processing aerial imagery, surfaces, and related geospatial data.

Salary Range: $89,000- $133,500 + Bonus
