Join Our Cardiology Team
Kingston Heart Clinic is looking for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our growing outpatient cardiology team.
In this role, you will work alongside cardiologists and other clinical professionals to perform nuclear cardiology imaging and support cardiac stress testing. We are looking for someone who combines strong technical skills with excellent patient care and enjoys being part of a collaborative clinical environment.
What You'll Do
- Perform nuclear cardiology procedures including:
- Myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI)
- Stress/rest nuclear studies
- Gated SPECT imaging
- MUGA studies
- Pharmacologic stress testing support
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with physician orders and regulatory requirements
- Review patient histories, medications, contraindications, and relevant clinical information
- Prepare and educate patients regarding their procedures
- Assist with exercise and pharmacologic cardiac stress testing under physician supervision
- Monitor ECG rhythms, vital signs, symptoms, and patient response throughout testing
- Recognize and respond appropriately to adverse reactions and medical emergencies
- Acquire, process, analyze, and document diagnostic images and data
- Operate and maintain nuclear medicine cameras, imaging systems, and related equipment
- Perform routine quality control, equipment calibration, and quality assurance activities
- Ensure the safe handling, storage, documentation, and disposal of radioactive materials
- Maintain accurate patient and procedural documentation
- Follow CMRITO, CNSC, radiation safety, infection prevention, occupational health and safety, and clinic requirements
- Participate in quality assurance, accreditation, and regulatory inspection activities
- Support the training and onboarding of new team members
- Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, technologists, administrative staff, and clinic leadership
- Assist with other duties as required
What You'll Bring
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- CAMRT certification preferred, where applicable
- Previous nuclear cardiology and cardiac stress testing experience is an asset
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety and quality assurance practices
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Pay: $42.00-$50.00 per hour
