We are looking for a skilled Employee Benefit Account Managers to promote the sale of Great-West Life employee benefits products. Conduct new and renewal case analysis, develop appropriate plan designs, identify amendment growth opportunities, prepare and execute ambitious and profitable pricing strategies
Conduct joint field work with advisors and their clients, including new sale and renewal meetings to provide product, rate positioning, and technical expertise
Actively promote marketing initiatives and sales ideas to build advisor interest and penetrate new markets
Lead and grow an advisor and client customer base, maintaining a balance between sales and pricing requirements; increase the knowledge of advisors and field partners in employee benefit products and market opportunities
Commit to the development of the team and motivate peers with innovative sales ideas and most standard methodologies; develop new sources of business through the use of advanced sales strategies
Evaluate risk and eligibility for employee benefit prospects
Liaise with the head office underwriting, claims, marketing and distribution departments to assist with your goal of driving premium revenue
Collaborate with a local sales and administrative team to execute the team’s business plan
Post-secondary education, preferably in commerce, finance, business administration
or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
Minimum 2 years experience in the financial services/employee benefit industry
Demonstrated success in sales or the marketing of employee benefit products is an asset
Work ethic that demonstrates you are sales and results-oriented, a motivated self-starter, career-focused, dynamic and involved in extracurricular activities
Skilled at relationship building
Good communicator with the ability to present, train and transfer knowledge to a variety of audiences.
Hold valid financial services designation GBA
Hold or working towards valid financial services designation CEBS or CFP
Ability to travel throughout an assigned region using your own means of transportation This role is located in Calgary; travel throughout the region will be required
