Job Summary:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the products manufactured in the plant meet the required quality standards and specifications, thereby contributing to the success and competitiveness of the global automotive parts manufacturing company. Job Responsibilities:

- Quality Control Processes: responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality control processes and procedures to ensure that all manufacturing activities comply with quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Inspections and Testing: conducts inspections and perform testing on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications. This may involve visual inspections, measurements, and functional testing using various testing equipment and tools.

Statistical Process Control (SPC): They use statistical process control techniques to monitor and analyze production processes, identify trends, and detect deviations from quality standards. This helps in proactively addressing quality issues and preventing defects before they occur.

Root Cause Analysis: When quality issues arise, the Quality Engineer leads root cause analysis efforts to identify the underlying causes of defects or non-conformities. They work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions to address root causes and prevent recurrence.

Quality Improvement Initiatives: They drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and optimize manufacturing processes. This may involve implementing lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other quality improvement tools and techniques.

Supplier Quality Management: They work closely with suppliers to ensure that raw materials and components meet the required quality standards. This may involve conducting supplier audits, monitoring supplier performance, and collaborating on quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of incoming materials.
Job Qualifications:

Education: A bachelor's degree in engineering is usually required, with a focus on disciplines such as mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or quality engineering.

Prior Experience: several years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a related field, preferably in the automotive industry or automotive parts manufacturing.

Automotive Industry Experience: Experience working in the automotive industry provides valuable insights into industry-specific quality requirements, standards, and best practices.

Manufacturing Experience: Experience with manufacturing processes, production systems, and quality control methods used in automotive parts manufacturing is highly beneficial.

Project Management Experience: Experience managing projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and delivering results within budget and timeline constraints is desirable.

Knowledge of Quality Management Systems: Understanding of quality management systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001 and automotive-specific standards like IATF 16949. Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies like APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plans.

Statistical Analysis: Proficiency in statistical analysis techniques and tools, including statistical process control (SPC), capability analysis, hypothesis testing, and design of experiments (DOE), to analyze process data and identify opportunities for improvement

Quality Tools and Techniques: Familiarity with quality tools and techniques such as Pareto analysis, fishbone diagrams, process mapping, and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to identify and mitigate quality risks.
