Literacy North Halton (LNH) – Adult Learning Centres Halton (ALNH)
Literacy North Halton (LNH) is a community-based, not-for-profit, charity founded in 1986 to support a local need for foundational literacy skills building. Today, operating as Adult Learning Centres Halton (ALNH), our programs and services actively support adult learners in the communities of Halton to build their essential reading, writing, basic math, digital literacy, and essential employability skills. We encourage community support and promote literacy awareness.
Literacy North Halton seeks an Executive Director and Program Manager to lead and manage the operation of the organization. The Executive Director oversees the development and delivery of community-centric training programs and services that directly advance the organization’s mission.
Georgetown, ON with travel expectations within Halton Region
This position is contract, renewable annually
4 days, 34 hours per week, with monthly evening LNH Board of Director meetings
Qualifications and Skills:
- Demonstrates organizational, management, and leadership ability across multiple functions
- Applies strong financial stewardship, using budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring processes
- Engages effectively with government and partners, with an understanding of public funding environments
- Demonstrates ability to engage with community stakeholders, build partnerships and attract funding
- Oversees projects, coordinating people, timelines, and resources to achieve designed outcomes
- Works effectively with volunteer Board of Directors, contributing to strong governance practices
- Builds trust and maintains stability during periods of change, fostering a culture of collaboration
- Utilizes Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and other tools to run daily operations and deliver programs
- Demonstrates superior oral and written communication skills, including presentation and public speaking
- Demonstrates ability to effectively manage time, and work both independently and in a team environment
- Post secondary education in Business Administration, or other relevant disciplines
- Access to a vehicle for travel throughout Halton Region

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
