The Program Director (PD) is responsible for overseeing the in-camp programming, and is part of the senior management team of the camp which means that you’ll often be involved in other aspects of camp other than just the program piece. The Program Director is responsible for managing the program staff, their program activities, program scheduling and program activity needs. The Program Director will need to be detailed, organized, and flexible as well as be able to plan ahead and have excellent communication skills. The Program Directors at both Camp Ahmek and Camp Wapomeo will be working closely together throughout the summer on scheduling program activities and organizing events to ensure the campers and staff have a safe and fun summer.
Supporting the program staff (morale, programming issues, etc.)
Organizing events (Big Event, Sailing Races, Final Play, etc.)
Program activity scheduling
Organize staff days off and staff meetings
Program Supply inventory
Organized and detailed logs of any programming issues or changes throughout the summer.
Collect and present all the announcements in the dining hall at each meal

Compensation varies depending on the position and experience. All positions include room, board, laundry and use of facilities.
