The Front Desk Agent welcome guests through the check-in & check out of the hotel, receive payment, correct account and reservations discrepancies, and create and cancel reservations.
* Answers internal or external phone calls in a pleasant and professional manner.
* Processes check-in and check-out of all guests for the hotel and accurately maintains guest accounts.
* Knows and understands the products and services offered by the Company and the Hotel. Promotes and up-sells our products & services.
* Ensures that either a deposit or credit card is secured on arrival to cover the guest's charges for the duration of their stay at the hotel. Responsible to verify that the credit check and related identification match.
* Responsible to complete the daily checklist based on the shift
* Completes daily shift checklists, ensuring responsibilities are completed correctly and on time
* Maintains record of Service Recovery (Guest Requests), ensuring communication to respective departments and follow up with guests
* Helps guests with providing information about the hotel and the local area/city.
* Responsible for balancing of their assigned cash float.
* Adheres to all hotel policies regarding security, safety procedures, walk-in check-in, and guest confidentiality.
* Ensures that any relevant guest or group information is passed on to the next shift.
* Prepare and deliver "express" check outs
* Verifies and balances all financial transactions occurring in a business day.
* Ensure that the accounting system and cash are in balance at the start of the shift
* Ensure that all credit card entries are captured and posted correctly
* Checks that all the rates charged to guest are properly coded and changed if necessary
* Helps with the Back Audit duties
*OPERA knowledge is a must
* Weekend Availability Mandatory
