Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Team Lead (CDMO) to join our team at Candoo Pharmatech. Team Lead will play a pivotal role to mange the daily and weekly targets for the manufacturing/production team to meet production metrics. Reporting to Production Supervisor/ Production Manager, you will manage the schedule and priorities for your department, assigning work for all team members and ensuring procedures and requirements are understood. Using your strong communication skills and leadership ability, you will monitor output and quality to meet departmental goals and ensure product is made to meet or exceed customer requirements.
The successful candidate will lead by example and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance company policies/ regulations while remains aligned to the Candoo Pharmatech Health and Safety policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of production technicians, to meet the daily and weekly targets for the production team.
- Schedule floor activities to meet the expected production metrics.
- Accountable for correctly complete assigned documentation and floor activities as per SOD’s, GDP and GMP requirements.
- Responsible for verification and/or review of manufacturing step or documentation to ensure information is transcribed correctly and as per adherence to GDP.
- Ensure staff are fully trained and adhere to all SOPs, GMP guidelines, Health Canada/FDA regulations and safety requirements.
- Responsible to oversee and maintain a highly engaged production team.
- Provide after-hours support, when required, for escalations and resolving production issues.
- Accountable to ensure for waste disposal and storage of clean equipment as per SOP.
- Responsible for room and equipment clearance activities prior to start of manufacturing processes.
- Responsible to assemble, dismantle, clean, and sanitize manufacturing equipment, as needed, to meet department targets in support of department and productivity goals.
- Works with appropriate stakeholders to resolve safety, quality concerns and to improve efficiency of production activities.
- Support receiving and delivery of material and pharmaceutical excipients into the facility.
- Work with the Quality Assurance to ensure that IQOQ is performed and up to date for the manufacturing equipment and environment.
- Support Performance Qualification (PQ) as needed.
- Actively participate in drafting SOPs, Work instructions (WIs) and conducting group trainings for production related activities.
- Able to safely operate all required equipment to manufacture, in-process testing, and transport material.
- Able to conduct in-process testing required for the manufacturing of product.
- Trained to be super user for equipment and applicable computerized control panel of equipment to monitor the process.
- Issue maintenance notifications and prepare equipment for maintenance work orders as required.
- Accountable to manage and maintain GMP manufacturing equipment and facility to ensure the at all-time readiness for client, and regulatory audits.
- Able to access Candoo Pharmatech intranet for the purpose of locating and utilizing relevant SOD’s, MSDS’s, company policies and procedures.
- Responsible to inform supervisor/manger in the event of a departure from procedure, product defect, safety incident or other serious problem.
- Actively participate in team meetings and other team-related activities.
- Actively seek and accept positive and constructive feedback from colleagues and leadership.
- Work effectively with team members in support of team and department goals.
- All other relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field Minimum one year leading a team in a CDMO manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years progressive team lead experience in a GMP regulated environment, preferably in pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging.
- Ability to lift up to 20 kgs. on a regular basis.
- Equipment cleaning and cleaning validation experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word; Power Point etc.).
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment and Respiratory Protection responsibly as per Candoo Pharmatech Company Inc. procedures.
