Role Summary
As we continue to grow our presence in Calgary and beyond, we’re on the lookout for an energetic and persuasive Market Salesperson to represent Devon + Lang at all its Holiday Market and Shows — the biggest and busiest events of the year!
If you love meeting new people, thrive in high-energy environments, and enjoy the thrill of hitting sales goals, we’d love to meet you. This is a flexible, event-based role with no guaranteed weekly hours, and it includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Represent Devon + Lang at markets and trade shows, actively engaging positively with customers and effectively selling our products.
- Set up and take down market/trade show displays, ensuring they present the brand positively and attractively.
- Track sales transactions and inventory during events.
- Work towards sales targets with the aim to exceed them, benefiting from higher commission rates upon reaching specified sales thresholds.
- Provide feedback from customers to enhance product offerings and the customer experience.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in markets, trade shows, retail, or similar environments.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage customers and close sales.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, comfortable working independently.
- Flexible availability to attend various markets and trade shows throughout the year.
- Ability to commute between our Calgary warehouse and market locations throughout the city and beyond.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds and stand for long hours.
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Must be able to work evenings as well as weekends and holidays.
- Must be over 18 years old.
- Must be willing to travel in cities outside Calgary (mileage and accommodation c/o Devon+Lang)
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be available from June 29th to Sept 18th, 2026.
