Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring customer satisfaction and timely deliveries. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, experience in warehouse operations, and the ability to handle heavy lifting and moving tasks. A valid commercial driver’s license and previous driving experience are essential for this position.
Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver products to customers and clients across designated routes
- Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual handling techniques
- Ensure accurate delivery of items, verifying orders against delivery manifests
- Provide excellent customer service by maintaining professionalism and addressing any delivery-related inquiries or concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of delivery vehicles
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse staff regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues
- Assist with warehouse tasks including moving inventory and organizing stock as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation activities
Experience
- Prior experience in commercial driving or warehouse operations preferred
- Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus
- Experience in customer service roles demonstrating strong communication skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks regularly
- Proven ability to handle moving and loading/unloading equipment efficiently
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to transportation and warehouse environments
