The opportunity
Are you looking for an opportunity to make great impact, be transformational and move the Liquids business forward? We have an exciting role to contribute to the Data & Analytics team within our Liquids Business Unit. This role reports to the Manager, Data & Analytics.
The evolving team will lead and support the Liquids Business through its journey to be a leader in the use of data and analytics to achieve business goals, such as reliability, safety and profitability. This role is essential in helping the team identify and prioritize opportunities that transform how we do business and create value.
The successful incumbent will work collaboratively with all parts of the Liquids, Information Services and Technical Center business units.
What you’ll do
Guide, advise and inspire the organization about the business potential and strategy of artificial intelligence (AI)/data science
Identify data-driven/ML business opportunities
Collaborate across the Liquids business to understand IT and business constraints
Prioritize, scope and manage data science projects and the corresponding key performance indicators (KPIs) for success
Help to define and communicate governance principles
Display drive and curiosity to understand the business process to its core
Network with domain experts to better understand the business mechanics that generated the data
Project manage key analytics projects for the business unit
Help elevate the liquids BU understanding and use of data analytics to drive business results
Manage the intake of prioritizing and scoping new innovative ideas
Minimum Qualifications
Degree or diploma in mathematics, computer science, information management or statistics
6+ years of proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst
Working knowledge of relevant Big Data technologies (Azure, AWS or Google platforms)
Experience project managing Big Data pipelines and analytics solutions in an enterprise setting, using Agile development approaches
Coding skills in languages such as SQL, Python and/or R
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with statistical software
Knowledge of data gathering, cleaning and transforming techniques
Reporting and data visualization skills using software like Power BI
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of data warehousing and extract, tranform load (ETL) techniques
Technical writing skills
Excellent attention to detail
