Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Seasonal Sales Associate/Cashier to join our retail team during peak seasons. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing sales transactions, and supporting merchandising efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be organized, and capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently. Bilingual abilities and experience in technology or product demos are a plus, helping to enhance the customer shopping experience and drive sales.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and sales processing
- Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to customers
- Upsell additional products or services to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain organized merchandise displays and ensure products are well-stocked
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Manage time effectively to ensure smooth store operations during busy periods
- Assist with inventory management, including merchandising and stock replenishment
- Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities such as Spanish or other languages are a plus
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred but not required
- Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills necessary for accurate transactions
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform product demos and explain technical features confidently (experience in technology sales is a bonus)
- Time management skills to prioritize duties during busy periods
- Merchandising experience and familiarity with retail sales strategies are advantageous
- Ability to work flexible hours during peak seasons; previous experience in upselling is beneficial
Pay: $17.85 per hour
