Job Description
Swamp Cats Ltd. is currently looking for an experienced Heavy Duty On Road Truck Mechanic for our Shop in Lac La Biche and current camp based projects in North East Alberta.
Employee Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 year's experience
- Journeyman; truck and trailer mechanic license
- Mentoring Apprentices
- Experience in heavy truck and trailer repairs including electrical and hydraulic
- Own tools & transportation
- Valid Class One drivers license
- Working knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade.
- Skilled in the operation of a variety of tools and equipment used in the repair of trucks and heavy equipment
- Capable of preparing and maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Ability to analyze and repair mechanical failures.

Employee Responsibilities required but not limited to:
- Troubleshoot and repair heavy duty trailers and trucks
- Disassemble, inspect, and replace parts
- Complete job and all associate paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
- Teamwork

- Physically able to complete job tasks
- Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repairs to manufacturer's specifications.
- Maintain a clean and tidy personal work area and assist with general cleaning duties in a workshop environment.
- Maintain a daily record of all work tasks and materials.
- Perform related work as required.
- Completing daily job hazard assessments.
About Us
Swamp Cats Limited operates from 2 facilities on over 26 acres of land in Lac La Biche, Alberta. Our 20-Acre facility, is serviced by our heavy duty mechanics and maintenance team and is home to our sixteen thousand square foot equipment maintenance & repair shop and seventy five hundred square foot welding shop. Our dedicated team, large equipment inventory and extensive facilities allow us to complete any project big or small.

With a dedicated equipment maintenance team and a constantly growing inventory of over 500 pieces of Heavy Equipment we have the iron to get the job done. Swamp Cats limited currently has the second largest inventory of GPS fitted heavy equipment in Alberta, allowing us to be smarter, faster and more accurate, bringing the office and the machine together for increased efficiency.

Since 2008 Swamp Cats Limited has successfully completed over five hundred million dollars in contracts within Alberta. We currently work with many of the leading Oil and Gas producers in Canada including: Cenovus Energy, ConocoPhillips, Devon Energy, Nexen, TransCanada, Athabasca Oil Corporation and Meg Energy.
