We are seeking a versatile and skilled Millwright to join our dynamic team. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for a wide range of interdisciplinary tasks where knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, piping systems, pumps, and HVAC systems will set you apart. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in various mechanical systems and at least 2 years of manufacturing and maintenance experience in the field. A positive attitude, willingness to learn and commitment to a safety culture will set the candidate apart.
Responsibilities:
· Assist in the fabrication of custom equipment, which can range from outfitting a sea container with insulation, pumps, piping, and HVAC equipment, to prototype equipment fabrication, testing and troubleshooting.
· Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and longevity of machinery and equipment in rail and municipal infrastructure settings.
· Assist in the installation, calibration, and repair of mechanical systems and components for automation and facility operations.
· Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in mechanical technology relevant to the rail and municipal infrastructure sectors.
· Provide technical support and guidance to team members as needed.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:
· Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
· Trade ticket in Millwright (Industrial Mechanic) is required, no apprentices will be accepted.
· Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Commitment to safety culture.
· Willing and able to travel within Canada, USA, and Mexico (possess a valid passport and Class 5 operator's license).
· Fluency in Spanish or French would be an asset.
· Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs, climb up and down ladders frequently, and able to stand for extended periods of time.
· A background check is required.
Assets:
· A second trade ticket would be an asset, but not a requirement (plumbing, gasfitter, heavy duty mechanic, or similar)
· Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, diesel fuel systems, pumps, and HVAC systems.
· Experience with CNC machining, welding, and/or fabrication techniques.
· Knowledge of pipe thread and fitting types and applications.

· Approximately 30% of work will be site work, the remainder will be working in the Edmonton shop, Monday to Friday, usually 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
