Last Door Recovery Society is a leader in fostering a community that inspires recovery. Our mission is to provide therapeutic environments where individuals and families dealing with addiction issues can develop the necessary skills to live free in recovery. We offer long-term bed-based and outpatient treatment for men and women aged 18 and over, utilizing a Social Model treatment modality. Position Overview:
The Admissions Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the admissions pathway, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for potential clients from initial contact through to program admission. This role involves detailed client assessments, coordination with clinical and medical teams, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, families, and community partners to support successful recovery journeys.
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in health/social services, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in roles supporting at-risk populations, including homelessness, mental health challenges, addictions, and trauma.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to professionally interact with a diverse range of clients and colleagues.
- Knowledge of systems of care, with a strong advocacy background for client-centered, recovery-based, and culturally appropriate practices.
- Commitment to confidentiality and adherence to high ethical standards.
- Vulnerable Persons Criminal Record Check required upon hiring and annually thereafter.
- Lived experience in recovery or similar challenges is considered an asset.
Working Conditions:
Formal work hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility required to meet program functioning and client needs.
