QUALITY ASSURANCE Coordinator – CALGARY

We have an opportunity for a Quality ASSURANCE Coordinator at our Head Office in Calgary, Alberta. The Quality Assurance coordinator, under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager, supports the QA Manager in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS) across multiple manufacturing plants. This role focuses on coordination, follow‑up, data tracking, and on‑site quality support. The QA Coordinator works closely with plant managers, supervisors, and production teams to promote quality awareness, consistency, and compliance with established standards.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plant floor presence is a core responsibility, focused on conducting inspections, identifying and documenting deficiencies, and working directly with production teams while communicating required fixes or repairs to plant management prior to equipment shipment to drive practical quality improvements.

Prioritize inspections and activities based on non-conformances, priority orders, and specific customer requirements.

Actively engage with assemblers, foremen, and lead hands to educate and reinforce quality expectations, production directives, and best practices.

Assist the QA Manager with processing non-conformance reports, ensuring documentation is completed accurately and technically.
- Support the tracking of investigations and corrective actions to confirm actions are documented and completed.
- Monitor and follow up on NCRs, providing support for analysis and corrective actions to technical supervisors and plant managers.
- Compile quality assurance data, prepare and provide summaries, while assisting the QA Manager with trend analysis and reporting for management review.
- Lead regular quality meetings at the plant to review NCRs, KPIs, and improvement opportunities, engaging directly on the production lines with foremen and lead hands from each line.
- Support the QA Manager in implementing, maintaining, and standardizing QMS compliance across all plants, ensuring alignment with company procedures, applicable regulatory requirements, and ISO 9001 standards.

Coordinate internal and external audit readiness for assigned locations by organizing documentation, tracking corrective actions, and supporting departments in preparation activities.
- Assist with training and awareness programs for supervisors and workers to promote a culture of quality.

Assist in incoming material inspections as required.
- Provide support to the plant manager by identifying deficiencies and improvement opportunities within the calibration and preventive maintenance programs.
- Assist the QA Manager with other quality-related activities and initiatives as required.

Travel between Calgary manufacturing plants is required, with occasional travel to Edmonton.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems/ ISO 9001
- Post secondary education in a technical field is required. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is considered an asset.
- Demonstrate knowledge of quality principles, tools, and continuous improvement methodologies.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
