Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Office Administrative Assistant & Patient Care Coordinator to join our healthcare team. This role is vital in ensuring smooth office operations and providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will be organized, personable, and possess a strong understanding of medical office procedures. Duties
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with privacy regulations
- Assist with billing, coding, and insurance claim submissions
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls appropriately
- Prepare and organize documentation for patient files and office reports
- Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the front office area
- Support clinical staff with administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a medical or dental office setting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures
- Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong office experience with proficiency in MS Office Suite or similar software
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Friendly, professional demeanor with a focus on patient care excellence
