Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team, providing essential maintenance and repair services for a variety of heavy-duty equipment and vehicles. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related components on trucks, construction equipment, and industrial machinery
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, schematics, and diagnostic equipment to identify issues and execute repairs efficiently
- Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as needed for repairs or modifications
- Operate heavy equipment safely during maintenance or repair procedures
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed
- Assist in assembly or disassembly of machinery for repairs or upgrades
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
Skills
- Proven mechanic experience with diesel engines and heavy equipment
- Dealership experience preferred but not required
- Proficiency with excavator, crane, forklift, HVAC systems, welding, electrical systems, and industrial equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to read schematics and technical manuals
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members
- Experience operating heavy machinery during maintenance or repair tasks is a plus
- Knowledge of automotive repair principles applicable to large vehicles and machinery
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
