Heavy Equipment Operator (Excavator)
RGM Holdings Ltd. is a well-established logging contractor based in Cranbrook, BC, operating multiple logging crews throughout the East Kootenay region. We are committed to maintaining a safe, professional, and respectful workplace while delivering high-quality forestry services.
We are currently seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team.
Position Responsibilities
The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for:
- Trail building
- Reclamation work
- Some road building
- Operating safely and confidently in steep terrain
- Performing daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance
- Operating equipment safely and efficiently while following company safety procedures
Qualifications
- Previous excavator operating experience is required
- Must be comfortable and experienced operating excavators in steep terrain
- Logging or forestry experience is considered an asset, but is not required
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently
- Commitment to safety, professionalism, and quality workmanship
