Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Building Caretaker to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of our residential facility. This role is vital in ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for all owners and tenants. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and facilities maintenance and basic building repair knowledge, with a strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to building upkeep.
Duties
- Perform routine inspection, cleaning and/or repair of common property areas
- Conduct regular inspections of the buildings and grounds to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards
- Carry out basic facilities maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, fixing minor repairs, and reporting larger issues to management
- Ensure all cleaning procedures adhere to health and safety standards
- Assist with setup and breakdown for events or meetings held within the facility
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement cleaning schedules and maintenance plans
- Maintain the swimming pool and sauna areas, including daily checks
- Maintain the changes to parking, and maintain the booking of the guest suite
- Provide a monthly report to Strata Council for meetings
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety protocols
- Ability to perform light maintenance tasks such as repairs or troubleshooting minor issues
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties, including standing, bending, lifting light loads, and operating cleaning machinery
- Reliable work ethic with a proactive attitude toward building upkeep and safety standards
Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
