Spartan Group Limited is a general contracting and civil construction company servicing the GTA and surrounding areas. We also offer our clients comprehensive packages for commercial grounds maintenance. Spartan Group is currently looking to add a Snow Plow Operator to grow with us as a team member. This position requires on-call availability 24/7.
We have full time, year-round positions open as well as seasonal placements for this winter.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma, GED or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a machine operator (for example, loader with plow, backhoe with plow, tractor with plow, skid/track steer with plow, truck with plow and/or salter)
Ability to operate small or large construction equipment/plow truck
Highly motivated, self- driven and detail oriented
Valid driver’s license
Ability to read maps and fill out logs
Punctual and reliable!!!
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times
Ensure that all safety rules and company safety policies are adhered to
Operate a variety of construction machinery
Responsible for all winter snow clearing and related activities as assigned by the Operations Manager
Communicate well with all crew members and supervisor
Monitor all tools, equipment, and machinery for needed maintenance
Track and record all job expenses and hours worked accurately
COMPENSATION
Based on experience
Monthly standby
