This position oversees the planning and dispatching of all Company drivers to deliver all assigned deliveries on time in the most efficient way. Also, responsible for managing incidents and recalibrating plans in real time when issues occur. i.e. breakdowns, accidents, call ins, etc.
Provides supervision and leadership to the Dispatch Associates. Plans and outlines daily workload distribution for Associates to execute completion.
Compiles data on incidents and accident, and distributes and communicates with appropriate personnel.
Coordinates the flow of inbound and outbound freight while staying abreast of daily priorities and weekly transportation targets.
Ensures the timely resolution of customer inquiries, concerns and problems.
Supports Regional Transportation operations offering assistance and guidance as required.
Plans and schedules Associates to ensure proper staffing across all shifts, ensuring alignment with volumes and service expectations.
Reviews accuracy of time and attendance reporting to ensure legal compliance with hours of work.
Strong knowledge of applicable, SME in Load Master, Retail Link and routes within region.
