Overview
We are seeking a motivated and professional Leasing Agent & Administrator to join our property management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leasing residential units, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining positive relationships with prospective and current tenants. The candidate will also be responsible for administrative work such as processing applications, drafting and sending leases, and coordinating move-ins and move-outs. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in property management, sales, and customer relations within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Advertise upcoming listings on multiple platforms, such as Facebook Marketplace, Kijiji, rentals.ca, etc
- Manage leasing inquiries via phone and email promptly
- Greet prospective tenants and conduct property tours to showcase available units
- Utilize Yardi, Building Stack, and other property management software to input data, process applications, and maintain accurate records
- Screen applicants through background checks, credit reports, and reference verification
- Prepare lease agreements and ensure all documentation is completed accurately and efficiently
- Coordinate move-ins and move-outs
- Follow up with prospects to convert inquiries into lease signings
- Assist with rent collection, move-in/move-out inspections, and other property management activities
- Maintain knowledge of property features, community amenities, and local market trends to effectively promote units
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant questions and resolving issues promptly
Qualifications
- Prior experience with Office software (Word, Excel) and property management systems such as Yardi, BuildingStack, and Calendly is preferred
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills with a focus on customer service
- Background in sales or customer relationship management is advantageous
- Knowledge of property management practices including leasing procedures, negotiation skills is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in leasing roles in a real estate environment is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients and maintain professional relationships

This position may require occasional evening and weekend availability. Flexible scheduling during the week is provided to accommodate these hours. Compensation includes a base salary plus commission, and will be determined on experience.
Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
