Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Car Mechanic to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics, with experience working in dealership environments preferred. The Car Mechanic will utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, and schematics to deliver high-quality service to our customers. Responsibilities
- Diagnose vehicle issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and mechanical knowledge
- Perform repairs including engine work, brake systems, suspension, and electrical components
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to execute repairs effectively
- Read and interpret technical manuals and schematics for accurate repairs
- Assemble or disassemble vehicle components as needed for repair or replacement
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Maintain detailed records of services performed on each vehicle
- Assist with vehicle inspections and quality control checks before returning vehicles to customers
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance needs clearly
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with a solid understanding of automotive systems
- Dealership experience is highly desirable
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform complex repairs and maintenance tasks
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for automotive repair
- Experience with automotive assembly and troubleshooting complex issues
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
