Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Database Administrator to join our client's dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing database systems to ensure high availability, security, and performance. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong background in database management and a passion for ensuring data integrity and efficiency across enterprise applications.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Oracle database environments
- Support the 24x7 operations team covering the North American time zone shift
- Collaborate with a distributed team of 7 DBAs (2 in India, 3 in Manila, 1 in Toronto)
- Perform database backup, security, and performance optimization tasks
Requirements
Must-Have Technical Skills
- Oracle Database Administration
- Oracle Exadata OR Oracle Database Appliance (ODA)
- AWS (PostgreSQL on AWS)
- Database Security Knowledge
- Scripting (Linux/Unix)
Nice-to-Have Skills
- SQL Server / PostgreSQL
- Programming Languages (SQL, PL/SQL)
- Oracle Data Guard / RAC
- Oracle GoldenGate
- Automation Tools (Ansible, RunDeck, or similar)
