This role is a great fit for someone who has consistent weekday daytime availability and is looking for a steady, active routine.
Most shifts fall between 9am and 5pm, and we’re looking for someone who can regularly keep a 5-hour daytime window open (for example 9–2, 10–3, 11–4, etc.), even if the exact number of visits varies day to day. This role can work well alongside other commitments, as long as you’re able to consistently keep that weekday daytime availability open for Dog Jogs.
You’ll also need to be available for one weekend day per month.
A reliable vehicle is required, as you’ll be driving between multiple client homes throughout your shift, often in different areas.

At Dog Jogs, we turn that into a role where you spend your days travelling between client homes, providing private dog walks, dog jogs, cat visits, puppy potty breaks, and helping busy pet parents feel confident their animals are in good hands.
What your day could look like
You hop in your car, coffee in hand, heading to your first visit. Maybe it’s sunny, maybe there’s snow. Either way, you’re ready.
You jog and walk dogs, visit cats, and send updates that make pet parents smile. Some days you help a shy dog build confidence. Other days you hit a new personal best with one of your regular jogging partners.
You work independently most of the day, but your team is always one message away when you need backup or a second opinion.

Our clients rely on us to show up for their pets. While routes and timing can shift slightly day to day, having consistent weekday availability and being dependable is really important in this role.
The details
Pay: $15/hr + tips
Shifts: Fall between 9am and 5pm (for example 9–2, 10–3, 11–4, or 12–5)
Availability: Monday through Friday daytime availability is required, with the ability to keep a consistent 5-hour window open, plus one weekend day per month
Requirements:
- Able to jog 6–10 km/hr and walk 3–10 km/day
- Reliable vehicle and smartphone
- Comfortable using apps throughout the workday
- 18+
- Clear police check
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
Locations:
Services take place throughout Edmonton, St. Albert, Sherwood Park, and Ardrossan. You may work in different areas depending on the day’s schedule, though we do our best to keep visits close to where you live when possible.
