Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and kitchen experience, and a passion for food excellence. This role involves overseeing daily kitchen operations, managing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. The Head Chef will play a pivotal role in menu development, food preparation, and maintaining a vibrant, efficient kitchen environment dedicated to hospitality and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Supervise and manage the kitchen staff, including cooks and food handlers, fostering a collaborative team environment
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, ensuring consistency, presentation, and quality standards are met or exceeded
- Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while aligning with restaurant branding and customer preferences
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control costs to optimize kitchen efficiency
- Train new staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and service standards
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow and exceptional guest experiences
- Lead by example in serving guests when necessary, demonstrating professionalism and hospitality skills
- Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to uphold high standards of cleanliness, organization, and efficiency
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food industry practices
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Solid restaurant management experience with an understanding of kitchen operations
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
- Excellent skills in food service, presentation, and serving techniques
- Demonstrated ability to develop menus that appeal to various customer preferences
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to train and motivate staff
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly preferred

Pay: $30.00 per hour
