We have an opportunity for a Veterinary Technician to join our small animal/exotic practice.
We are a full service hospital with digital radiography, digital dental radiography, on-site chemistry lab, AAHA accreditation as well as being Cat Friendly and Fear Free.
We are looking for outgoing, friendly individuals with excellent communication and technical skills who wish to be a part of a collaborative team approach to veterinary care.
We are considering fully Registered candidates, Veterinary Technicians and have flexibility for part or full-time arrangements. Applicants must be able to work some Saturdays.
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
- Perform laboratory tests such as urinalysis and blood counts
- Administer medications and vaccines under the direction of a veterinarian
- Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Educate clients on pet health, medications, and treatments
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician is preferred
- Proficiency in laboratory procedures is a plus
