Today our uniquely integrated health care organization includes Lakeland Long Term Care, seven Nurse Practitioner Led Clinics delivering care to rural communities, management of District ambulance services and dispatch, and a full range of in-patient and out-patient programs associated with a 90-bed acute care hospital.
WPSHC's innovative approach to integration has benefited the community through more seamless local delivery of services, improved access to primary care, a wider understanding of local needs and the ability to respond as these needs continue to evolve. The West Parry Sound Health Centre currently has an opening for a Director of Integrated Primary Care at our Rural Nurse Practitioner Led Clinic.
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Director of Integrated Primary Care is a strategic and collaborative leader responsible for the overall delivery, quality and performance of WPSHC's integrated primary care services across a multisite rural network.
This role places a strong emphasis on program and service delivery. The role is accountable for advancing a regional, team-based model of care, strengthening partnerships across the Ontario Health Team and ensuring alignment with provincial priorities, funding agreements and organizational strategy.
The role requires a leader who combines strong operational judgement with the ability to lead change, apply quality improvement approaches, and hold teams accountable for service excellence and outcomes, while maintaining a deep commitment to health equity, team based practice, and partnership-driven care.
Specifically, the Director of Integrated Primary Care will be accountable for:
- Service and Program Management: Lead the delivery, performance, and continuous improvement of integrated primary care programs in alignment with WPSHC’s strategic and operational plans.
- Partnerships & System Leadership: Develop, lead, and sustain strategic partnerships that advance integrated, team-based primary care across the West Parry Sound Ontario Health Team and the broader health system. Actively contribute as a member of WPSHC’s Senior Leadership Team, providing strategic and operational leadership in advancing the organization’s strategic directions and operational plan. This includes participating in an on-call rotation as required.
- People and Culture Leadership: Provide senior leadership for integrated primary care teams, including supervision and oversight to support effective, high-quality program and service delivery.
- Financial Management: Plan, manage, and monitor program budgets and fiscal resources in collaboration with finance leadership to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and service needs.
- Quality, Safety & Change Management: Oversee the use of quality improvement and performance monitoring frameworks to strengthen accountability, learning, and service outcomes.

To qualify for the role, you will have a Master’s Degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, though a post-secondary degree with significant experience may be accepted.
You will also need to have:
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario, other Regulated Health Professionals may also be considered.
- Educational preparation/courses in leadership and management.
- Minimum of five (5) years of related clinical experience is required.
- Minimum five (5) years of formal leadership experience required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the health centre’s mission, vision, and values.
- Demonstrated satisfactory attendance levels, work performance, disciplinary history, and positive work references;
