Our subsidiary, Berminghammer Foundation Equipment is a leading edge foundation equipment manufacturer, selling their products around the world. We are currently looking for a Financial Analyst to work with both of these organizations at our office located in Hamilton, Ontario.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Studying and collecting data to determine the cost of business activities and prepare periodic reports.
- Maintain our financial control and performance reporting system in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain and enforce appropriate internal controls of financial and operational processes.
- Maintain fixed asset schedules, prepare and post depreciation entries.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and various other general ledger account reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly HST filings.
- Assist with monthly financial package.
- Assist in preparation of forecasts, budgets, and special reports as required.
- Assist in capital expenditures request analysis.
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with our mid-year audit review and end of year audit.
- Degree in business with an accounting major (a professional accounting designation is considered an asset).
- Excellent understanding and thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and controls
- Superior excel and computer skills.
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in a civil engineering, construction, or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize projects, and meet deadlines in a timely and effective manner.
- Ability to collaborate with a multi-department team.
- Detail oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Previous experience with Oracle and/or Infor ERP VISUAL is considered an asset.
- Previous experience working in a multi-divisional, multi-currency company, with inter-company transactions is considered an asset.
