Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate Support Worker to provide essential care and assistance to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving and patient care, with a focus on providing personalized support to enhance the quality of life for those under their care.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility support
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals in various care settings including nursing homes, hospice care, and assisted living facilities
- Perform tasks related to dementia care and ensure a safe environment for individuals with specialized needs
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and monitor patient progress
- Engage in heavy lifting when necessary to ensure the safety and comfort of individuals under your care
Qualifications
- Prior experience in caregiving, nursing, or related fields is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility needs
- Knowledge of home care practices and patient-centered care approaches
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact empathetically with individuals in need
- Certification in hospice care or dementia care is a plus
