Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment following health and safety standards.
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, helping cooks with basic food handling and preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste properly.
- Ensure that all dishware is returned to its designated storage area promptly after cleaning.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure a seamless workflow during busy service periods.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to maintain hygiene standards.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the kitchen manager.
Requirements
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
- Knowledge of basic food handling practices is a plus.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.
- No experience necessary – we’ll train the right person.
