POSITION OVERVIEW
Lemia Natural Beauty Salon is seeking an experienced hairstylist specializing in natural hair, locs, and braiding. This opportunity is available as either chair rental or commission-based compensation, which will be discussed during the interview process.
The ideal candidate is passionate about healthy hair care, confident working independently, and interested in growing their clientele within a supportive salon environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide professional natural hair services including loc maintenance, braiding, twists, and protective styling
- Consult with clients and recommend suitable styles and hair care practices
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Ensure tools and work areas are sanitized according to health and safety standards
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain professional client relationships
- Contribute to a positive and respectful salon environment
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong knowledge and experience with natural hair, specifically locs and braiding
- Minimum 1–2 years of hairstyling, braiding, or salon experience
- Existing clientele preferred
- Willingness to continue building clientele within the salon
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, professional, and self-motivated
SCHEDULE
- Salon operates Sunday through Friday
- Saturday availability is not offered
