Job Title: Seasonal Server

Season: May to Thanksgiving
Position Summary:
Severn Lodge is seeking friendly, professional, and dependable Seasonal Servers to join our Food & Beverage team from May through Thanksgiving. As a Server, you will play an important role in providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests by delivering attentive service, maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment, and working closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests in a warm, courteous, and professional manner
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Serve meals and beverages promptly while ensuring guest satisfaction
- Answer guest questions regarding menu items, daily specials, and resort dining services
- Set up and clear tables in a timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room, service stations, and related areas
- Ensure tables are properly stocked with cutlery, glassware, condiments, and linens
- Work cooperatively with kitchen staff and fellow team members to provide smooth service
- Handle guest concerns professionally and report issues to management when necessary
- Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and workplace policies
- Assist with opening, closing, and side duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous serving or hospitality experience is an asset
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Must be reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance
- Must be 18 years of age or older, as this role involves the service of alcohol (Smart Serve Certification required or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift trays or dining supplies as needed
Work Conditions:
- Seasonal position from May through Thanksgiving
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts
- Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts may be required
